Resource and Learning Center at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey

The Resource and Learning Center (RLC), located in downtown New Brunswick, NJ and directly across from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, provides a comfortable and friendly atmosphere to find information about cancer.

A librarian is available to help visitors research and find information about all aspects of cancer. Ask the librarian for help in understanding a cancer diagnosis, prevention, treatment, symptom management, end-of-life care, nutrition, clinical trials, support, caregiving, alternative and complementary therapies, and family care issues. The RLC is free and open to patients and the community.

The RLC Collection Includes:

  • Computers with access to online resources and credible Web sites
  • Interactive computer programs to understand a procedure or anatomy
  • CancerHelp, a touch screen computer program lined to the National Cancer Institute
  • Health education books, brochures, magazines, DVDs, CDs and audio players
  • Medical reference books
  • Children's books
  • iPads, Kindles, Nooks, ipods and portable DVD players
  • Spanish and other language materials
